On this weeks show we talked about how important it is to do your research. Know your market and your competition.
If you want to start a business in 2020, the advice we would give you is do your research. Because we often see people who want to start a business being told “Just go for it”. Other peices of terrible advice we hear are “You’ll be fine”. Because research is so important, dont let the encouragement be the only thing you listen to.
What research should I do?
When starting a business, doing it blind is the worst thing you can do. This is why so many businesses fail. When we started WESH UK, our research took 4 years and involved using every hosting company on the planet. Because there were no Virtual Assistants back then, we did things the hard way.
To make things easy for yourself, hire a Virtual Assistant. A virtual assistant can cost as little as a few hundred pounds. Then have them find every competitor of yours and what their unique selling point is.
This info will give you a picture of who you are competing against and help you identify your own unique selling point. This is critical because knowing why you are unique will help you engage your audience.
